Our Approach

One Voice to Collaborate, Educate and Advocate

Transitioning a portion of the commercial fleet to electric is a difficult but solvable challenge. Through our members’ efforts, PACT represents significant commitment and investment to creating a more robust market.

Breaking down barriers to accelerate our vision for a zero-emission vehicle future

Innovative policy, favorable regulation and deep collaboration are essential to electrify America’s freight sector. Our members are committed to:

Enabling commercial vehicle market transformation

The deployment of advanced commercial vehicle technologies will drive bold market growth and economic opportunity. PACT advocates for policies that accelerate the deployment of charging infrastructure, such as streamlined and expedited permitting and zoning rules to help control project timelines, complexity and costs.

Readying the grid for today’s advanced vehicle technologies

Proactive investments in grid build-outs for M/HD vehicles will drive down infrastructure costs. PACT supports policies that empower utilities to invest in critical grid upgrades ahead of established demand including clear energization timeline requirements, appropriate and fair cost recovery mechanisms, high-confidence pre-builds, and adequate resourcing.

Making the energy transition a win-win for all

Transportation electrification stakeholders face an opportunity to create an economic and manufacturing boom. All stakeholders must come together to remove barriers and implement policy that improves our collective future.
